The Family of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus started in 2005 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Portland Oregon USA with a group of friends of Deacon An Vu. It was recognized as a Private Association of the Faithful on Dec 8, 2009 by Archbishop John G. Vlazly, Archbishop of Portland in Oregon.

The Charism of the Association should be
Three spiritualities blended together:
The Spirituality of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus
The Spirituality of Saint Paul
The Spirituality of Saint Claret.
The members should have community life.
Deacon An Vu proposes:
The Mission of the Association is service in the poor areas where people are Catholics and other religions.
We Nourish the Marginalized poor, the untouchable, the minor tribes, the elderly, the children
by Eucharist
in Remote Areas, Slums, Prisons, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Homeless Corners, orphanages, bedridden...
The members serve with the spirituality of Saint Therese and by the method of Saint Paul and Saint Claret.
Suggest name for the Congregation:
- Silent Missionaries for the Poor.
- Silent Missionaries for the Marginalized Poor

Bishop Leo interviewed 4 candidates, asked them whether they really want to serve the poor in remote area all their lives?
4 Candidates will be sent to
Zamboanga
for formation in one year.
Candidates will learn English

2 Deacons will be ordained Priest after father Lito and Lisa visit their home Parishes for more information.
2 remain candidates will be officially in their formation.
Each candidate submits:

• Recommendation letters
• Personal information: name, Age
• Formation history
• What he wishes
Anyone would like to join submit the same.
Most welcome will be the young Aspirants.
