The program Rice for the elderly Poor in Colombia started June 2013 and is located in Manzoni 31 Lote
18 - Escuela Mi Alegre Infancia, Villa Jimenez, Monteria, and Cordoba, Colombia. From this time we have been
helping around 50 to 60 elders. Colombia is a very catholic country and before the distribution we provide prayer
time through the Eucharist and / or catechesis. Every six months we provide health care, doctors, nurses, dentists
for them, when doctors found something that requires more attention, they are sent to hospitals. Th e elders are so
thankful with our help, they are so happy because they feel that they are important to us. Th ey do not juts receive
food they receive love.
NOTE: For Colombia the money is deposited in a local bank under Father Manuel Becerra ( Diocese of Portland,
Oregon) He is responsible for the delivery of rice in Colombia, delivery is made aft er mass .
